It depends how much you use your door, but we recommend at least once a year.

This includes adjusting door balance and spring tension, check track alignment, test opener safety, tighten all hinges, lubricate all moving parts and bearings.

Yes, we sell all things garage doors, hinges, rollers, track, shafts, remotes, gear kits etc. If we don’t have it in stock we will get it for you.

You probably have a broken torsion spring. Call our office to schedule an appointment to have your spring(s) replaced. Do not use your garage door opener to try to get your vehicle out! You may end up damaging the opener by doing so.

NOTE: Only a trained garage door professional should attempt to adjust, remove or install your garage door spring(s). Serious injury could occur

Standard springs are rated for up to 10,000 cycles, which translates to 5 to 10 years on average. Proper maintenance and service can lengthen the life of your spring(s)

Service and maintenance of your garage door and opener will determine the life of an opener. On average you can expect 10 to 15 years. Some may go in less and some may last up to 25 years.

You probably have a stripped drive gear. This is a common problem. Call our office and book a service call or stop by one of our show rooms to pick one up.

Your emergency release has been disconnected. To reconnect your emergency release pull the red handle forward towards the door to reset the catch then either lift the door to reconnect it or press the wall switch.

The infrared safety sensors are out of alignment, obstructed or faulty. The sensors are located about a foot up from the bottom of the track on either side of the door. Both lights should be solid. Check to make sure that they have not been knocked out of alignment or that the there is nothing in the way that would obstruct the beam. If you are unable to remedy the situation please call our office for help.

It is possible that the batteries need to be replaced. Also, check to see that the security lock feature on the wall switch has not been turned on. If the LED light on the wall switch is blinking the remotes will not work. To turn this feature off press and hold the LOCK button for 3 seconds and the LED light should return to solid.

All steel garage doors can be painted with the color of your choice. Please follow the manufacturer instructions included with your door.

Depending upon the damage involved to the door, it is possible in many cases to replace a section of your garage door. We recommend that you give Superior Doors Services a call so we can evaluate your situation and provide you with a solution that is the best course of action.
